FRIENDS JOIN FORCES TO LAUNCH RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY
A new business promising a more intelligent approach to recruitment has been set up by friends in South Manchester.
Roebuck Recruitment – based in Sale – is the brainchild of Richard Chadwick and Jonathan Edwards and has been launched in response to a growing demand from employers for a slick, intuitive service when it comes to staffing.
The firm will recruit technical experts and talented individuals into permanent, contract and fixed-term roles across various sectors and has already secured projects in London, Glasgow and Newcastle, as well as more locally across Greater Manchester.
Jonathan Edwards, co-founder and director at Roebuck, brings with him a wealth of experience having previously acted as Business Manager for Michael Page and believes the consultancy’s approach to client relations will pave the way for business success.
He said: “Roebuck Recruitment offers something unique. We’ve worked hard to develop a business model that centres on fully engaging with clients and becoming an extension of their team.
“This allows us to gain a thorough understanding of their businesses, culture and operational style and ensures that potential candidates are more likely to meet their requirements.
“Company owners are aware that their people are their greatest asset but are more time-poor than ever, so sourcing talent easily has never been more crucial. We’re able to relieve that burden and provide a level of support that they can trust.”
Roebuck Recruitment is offering a retainer service which will afford clients ongoing access to the firm’s enviable network of candidates for a fixed monthly rate, as well as the more traditional ad-hoc consultancy service as and when roles become live.
Managing director, Richard Chadwick, has spent the last seven years running a business within the IT sector. He said: “Time and time again, I experienced poor service from recruiters and noticed a gap in the market for an agency with a difference.
“Typically, whenever I posted a job opportunity, I was contacted by several recruiters caught up in a race to send CVs without any real understanding of the role or the type of person we were after. This resulted in a drawn-out and frustrating experience for all parties which is exactly what’s inspired our thinking behind Roebuck.”
The firm is looking to engage with businesses of all sizes with an open-minded and holistic approach to staffing. Core industries include construction and engineering, sales and IT, although its tailored approach supports recruitment for clients regardless of sector.
Richard added: “Time invested in getting to know clients means that all parties are focused on achieving the best results from the offset. Our way of working secures long-lasting, trusted relationships and delivers a more sustainable recruitment strategy for growing businesses.”
